KELL BROOK is desperate to shut up mouthy Yank Carson Jones in Saturday’s IBF welterweight world title eliminator at the Sheffield Arena.
The unbeaten Sheffield boxer has vowed to dish out a ‘spiteful’ beating after admitting he was ‘too nice’ in his last win, a dominant points triumph over domestic rival Matthew Hatton in March.
Brook, 26, and Jones, 25 clashed at a press conference to promote their showdown and have since swapped insults on Twitter.
Brook, who trains at the same Sheffield gym that produced former world featherweight champ Naseem Hamed, said: “He has slagged me off, slagged Sheffield off and he’s going to pay for it. He has been talking a lot and I’m more than happy to put it on him.
“He looked like a snooker player at the press conference when he turned up in a bow tie. I can’t wait to get the gloves on him.”“He disrespected me by saying he’s going to ruin me in front of my own people.
