IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (33-0, 22KOs) feels confident that he finally proved his worth to the critics who never saw him as a top level fighter. Last Saturday night, Brook captured his IBF title with a twelve round majority decision win over previously undefeated Shawn Porter (24-1-1, 15KOs) at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

“I think I’ve been a bit underrated,” Brook told Talk Sports' Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast. “I think people were a bit fed up hearing ‘can he or can’t he’? It was down to me to get in there and prove I belong at the top level. People were fed up waiting for me to get in there, but now they know I belong at the top.”

Now Brook wants the very best that his division has to offer - including Floyd Mayweather, Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao.

“It’s a short career and I want to get in there with the very best fighters. I want to test myself and excite the fans to the maximum,” he added. “To me it’s about having a fight and seeing the expression on the fans’ faces, making them so happy because they’ve had a brilliant fight.”

Now if he starts fighting regularly in the states, fans will get behind him. Please get Khan signed for Wembly Stadium, knock him out early, then let's get on to more credible opponents. He's definitely arrived. Would love to see him fight Thurman or Guerrero or Danny Garcia, once he blows up...

youve proved nothing brook, how old are you, and its your first fight with a decent opponent? You've won one fight and its about time. Look how long Pac has been there and how many better names hes fought, and Floyd also! People still criticise Pac and Floyd believe it or not, as well as other...

[QUOTE=Wicky]It’s the classic problem… nobody wants to fight a risky battle against a nameless, potentially dangerous opponent. Brook’s had to wait for years for his shot. He should have got that opportunity earlier. I’ve always thought of him as a much more complete fighter than Khan because...
