KELL BROOK wants to announce his arrival among the very best in the business by claiming a world title this year.

Brook, 27, is the mandatory challenger for IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter, who gained a shock win over Devon Alexander last month.

And the Sheffield star says that he will not let the opportunity slip him by, insisting: "Believe me, this is going to be Me, this is going to be MY year."

Brook earned his crack at the title by beating Vyacheslav Senchenko in an eliminator in October.

He claimed a fourth-round stoppage over Senchenko, the fighter who ended Ricky Hatton's comeback hopes.

Now his sights are on Porter, who has an option for an interim bout, with Brook still retaining his right for a mandatory tilt at the winner.

Brook said: "I now have the key to the top table in boxing that will enable me to figure in blockbuster fights.

"And I don't intend to waste the chance of meeting the really big names like Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.

"Then, of course, there is Amir Khan. For years, people have been talking about a big 'Battle of Britain' contest between us. A summer meeting between us at a big football stadium in the UK would be a massive seller."

Brook has won each of his 31 professional fights, 21 of them coming via KO, and is determined to keep that run going.

He said: "I feel in better shape than ever and after the Senchenko fight I am ready to tackle anyone, anywhere.

"I have never ducked a challenge, but a lot of fighters have spent plenty of time ducking me.

"I know I am on course for the world title. It has always been my dream and no-one can stop me from making that dream come true."

Brook has the backing of Senchenko victim and former two-weight world champ Ricky Hatton.

He said: "Sometimes you just can't see anyone stopping Kell. His performance against Senchenko was devastating.

"It is a hard belt to win and keep hold of. But Kell Brook will do it. He has the tools and he is maturing nicely as a fighter. He's a battler."

He's already too late. If he had a chance, younger blood will fix it. He's talking about fighting geezers in their dotage, as if he will be rewarded for applying the coup de gras, as if they have nobody better to fight. He couldn't find Floyd on a bad night and Manny would play with him.

[QUOTE=Box-Office]All he gotta do is say "ill beat Khan" "he doesnt deserve anything" and bam he gets a headline. Dude cant keep Khan's you know what for the last 4 years, where as he himself has done nothing but avoid mandatory title chances? Like who does that? His team knows hes not beating...
