British welterweight contender Kell Brook (32-0) is prepared to make it a dogfight next Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. A career defining opportunity is on the table against IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter (24-0).

In his last fight, Porter blew away the usually durable Paulie Malignaggi in four rounds. Brook knocked out his last four opponents. The fight who calls himself "The Special One" is anticipating a war of wills with many power punch exchanges.

Fans can expect fireworks from me next Saturday night. Its a candidate for Fight of the Year. I believe you have two young, unbeaten fighters with punching ability power going at it. Its been a long time coming. Ive always wanted to be a champion and its now my time. My dream will come true. So believe you me, Im going to leave it all in the ring that night, Brook said.

Its been a long time coming for me, fighting for this world title, with all the postponements before. But this is the start for me, fighting at the elite level in America. People always have an opinion; I just want to compete with the best fighters in the world. Im a fighter. I was born to compete."

I wish Porter fought Th...

most of the people supporting porter here are actually khan's fans who want brook to somehow pull it off so they can have khan/brook 'cause they know there is no way in hell amir gets in there with a real threat like porter, that would be too much risk for his chin and his chances of fighting floyd.

I watched video of kell train and it was not convincing, but maybe he fights harder than he trains. I've seen greats work the bags, put on a show. Roberto Duran was amazing on a speed bag, big punchers can knock them off. Joe Frazier on the big bag with James Brown in the background, a show. Suga...
