Kauffman: No Chin on Tyson Fury, Arreola Murders Mitchell

Recently I had the chance to briefly chat with Heavyweight prospect Travis Kauffman (24-1) as he wrapped up final preparations for his fight against Arron Lyons (12-12-1) on the "War at the Forge III" card at the Valley Forge Resort & Casino LIVE worldwide on GFL.tv.  We touch on his on his opponent Arron Lyons, fighting overseas, Haye-Fury, Mitchell-Arreola, and a few other topics.

BoxingScene: Hey Travis, how is training camp going for your Main Event fight at War at the Forge III on GFL.tv this Friday night?

Travis Kauffman: Everything is going great. I've trained really hard and I'm ready to fight!

BoxingScene: Since your only loss to Tony Grano, you have been forced to come back the hard way with multiple under the radar fights since Grano refused the rematch. How does it feel to be fighting in front of a worldwide audience again on GFL.tv?

Travis Kauffman:  It feels great and I'm ready to put on a stellar performance!

BoxingScene: Lyons, your opponent on Friday night, is a very upset minded fighter with a deceiving (12-12-1) record. In a perfect world, where does an impressive victory put you in the midst of the of heavyweight division?

Travis Kauffman: Lyons is tough and I think it makes for a great fight. I think my job as a fighter is to not just win but to win impressively. I have to make a statement. I'm not sure if after this win puts me in much of a better position but I know big things are yet to come.

BoxingScene: You correct with one win would normally not out you but you have been in the spotlight before so a highlight reel performance on a worldwide platform could position you to a big fight if not here then overseas against guys like Dereck Chisora or Lucas Browne. Is fighting overseas in the future something you would be interested or will you only look to stay in the states?

Travis Kauffman: Lets face it money talks so for the right price I wouldn't mind going overseas to someone's home turf and kick whomever's ass they put me in front of but first things first is to take care of business Friday.

BoxingScene: To get to know you a little better, are you a boxer who enjoys to watch the sport or is it strictly business for you?

Travis Kauffman: I enjoy watching the sport and the only sport I do watch but its also a business and the only way I provide for my family.

BoxingScene: Since you are a fan also, let me have some predictions of the big fights in your division coming up. Who do you feel emerges victorious between Haye-Fury & Mitchell-Arreola, all of which could be future opponents?

Travis Kauffman: If Haye catches Fury its over cause Fury already showed us he has no chin by getting dropped by Cunningham who is not a puncher. Arreola is going to murder Seth "do the dirt bird dance" Mitchell. I'd fight any of those guys.

BoxingScene: I don't want to keep you busy so one more question. What can fans live in attendance at the Valley Forge Resort & Casino & the fans watching LIVE WORLDWIDE on GFL.tv expect this Friday night?

Travis Kauffman: My fans can expect a more relaxed fighter which makes me more dangerous.. I will put on a boxing clinic against Lyons.

I gotta say, I agree with him. I think Haye will beat Fury. Cunningham dropped him and while I don't think much of Haye, I think he can pull this one out. I'm not a big Arreola fan either but…
