Karoly Balzsay-Brian Magee in Play For September 22

By Per Ake Persson

The unification fight at super middleweight between WBA regular champ Karoly Balzsay (25-2, 18KOs) and interim titleholder Brian Magee (36-4-1, 25KOs) now have September 22 as a working date but could go ahead earlier.

Team Magee won purse bids for the fight and had planned it for July 7 but due to various circumstances Balzsay and Universum didn´t return a signed contract in time and the date fell through but the WBA Championship committee have now granted Team Magee an extension.

Guess that's Balzay out as a potential opponent for Froch this Autumn then.

This is how bad things have got. The Governing bodies split their own belt then unify it. Money grabbing bastards.

Even matchup. This will be a good, competitive fight.

Yeah, why not. I hope Magee takes that title away from him, so we can see him against DeGale, or Groves in U.K then.
