Kameda vs Diaz: "The General" is Not Intimidated

Daniel "The General" Diaz (18-2, 13KOs) will get his first opportunity to fight for a world boxing title. Diaz will face Japan's Koki Kameda (24-1, 15KOs), the "regular" bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA) on May 7 in the city of Osaka, Japan. Diaz was surprised with the opportunity but says he won't be intimidated by facing Kameda in Japan.

"For me this fight is a big surprise, because of the problems with the earthquake in Japan. I thought there wouldn't be any boxing for a while. But there are people who are working and continue to fight. I'll be ready for the fight and won't be intimidated," Diaz said.

Diaz hasn't been up in the ring for a while. He hadn't been ranked high recently. Looks like a jobber is coming to the land of the rising sun. Damn you Koki. I wanna see you and Nonito square off…

I'll bet Diaz is surprised since he's never beaten anyone with a pulse and hasn't done anything to deserve a title shot.
