By Luke Furman

Heavyweight contender (IBF # 8, WBA # 11), Kali Meehan (38-4, 31 KOs) will return to the ring on February 29th in Tasmania, as part of the undercard to the next title defense of IBF middleweight champion Daniel Geale. The 41-year-old Australian will take part in a twelve round bout against "Prizefighter International" participant Kertson Manswell (22-3, 17 KOs). The winner will take home the regional Pan Pacific regional belt of the IBF. Manswell suffered all three of his defeats in 2011, against Bermane Stiverne, Mike Perez and Cedric Boswell.

Pretty sure Manswell is coming off two wins of some cans. Meehan's had a criminally mismanaged career imo, after not getting the nod over Brewster I think he lost interest in pushing himself.

Why at this stage in his career is Meehan fighting someone coming off three straight losses? If he is serious about getting another title shot, he should fight a ranked contender.
