BoxingScene.com recently caught up with IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius "K9"  Bundrage.  The former Contender series participant last fought in June when he defeated Sechew Powell via unanimous decision.

Bundrage traveled to Germany in December of 2008 to face the then unbeaten Zaurbek Baysangurov.   K9 stopped his opponent of Russian descent but revealed that it was the hardest fight of his career.  He also said that he would welcome a Super Six style tournament for the deep junior middleweight division.

"Baysangurov was the hardest fight I have had.  That boy can fight.  I had the fight of my life to beat him even though I stopped him in 5.  He is a force to deal with.  He has the WBO belt now.  I would fight him again.  HBO and Showtime needs to put that junior middleweight Super Six (tournament) together."

The Detroit, Michigan native has been campaigning for fights with the biggest names in welterweight and junior middleweight division including Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.  Bundrage mentioned how Sergio Martinez has been lobbying for big fights and said that if the Argentinean wants to come down to the junior middleweight limit that he would have problem facing him.

"I will fight Sergio Martinez.  If he wants to come down to 154 then let's do it.  Hey Sergio, I have the style to beat you!  I'm a southpaw killer," exclaimed an excited Bundrage.

I respect Bundrage. He's a hard worker and I admire how he persevered through many obstacles to eventually win a title. HOWEVER, let's be realistic. Martinez would rape his face ha ha. Just sayin!
