BoxingScene.com previously reported that middleweight champion Sergio Martinez was given a July date by HBO for his next ring appearance. Martinez has openly campaigned for fights against the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto. None of those fights are likely to come to fruition.

After dominating knockout victories over Paul Williams and Sergiy Dzinziruk, Martinez may have trouble finding an opponent that HBO feels is worthy of gracing their airwaves.

One fighter that is willing to step up to the plate and face the middleweight is IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage. Martinez likes to fight with his hands held low and lure his opponents in to his trap. The former Contender series star feels that he knows how to neutralize the Argentine's style. "I will crush Martinez because I know his style! If he takes a fight with me you will see. Trust me," Bundrage told BoxingScene.com.

Bundrage last fought in August of last year when he knocked out former two division champion Cory Spinks to win the IBF junior middleweight belt. He has been biding his time hoping to land a big fight and so far hasn't had much success. Bundrage finished up with a message for Martinez, "Put Martinez in there with The Dog! Man, I will chew him up!  Let him know I will accept his belt as a donation for getting in the ring with young Tyson. I am feared by world Champions from 154 to 160.  Ain't none of these cats Ready for the Dog!"
