Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. would like to see his unbeaten younger brother, welterweight Omar Chavez, uses the services of trainer Freddie Roach. Chavez is training with Roach at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, California, to prepare for his upcoming fight with John Duddy on June 26 in Texas.

Chavez Jr. enjoys working with Roach and sees himself improving as they continue to train. He hooked up with Roach two weeks ago to finish up the training camp.

"I was surprised at how we clicked. I think he's happy with me and I think we started off on the right foot in this camp. Sometimes he even laughs and says I sing better than Pacquiao and I should make a record," Chavez told ELE. "It has not been easy, sometimes it is very tired, but I know that the fight requires hard training because I can not fail Freddie or the fans."

Chavez is concerned about his brother Omar after watching last weekend's fight where Omar once again went to war with an opponent who was perceived to be an easy test. He wants Omar to use Roach.

"I would like for him to take my advice and tries to use Roach to see what happens. I think we won the fight but he was not convincing. To take beatings in fights is not only threatening to his unbeaten career, but also to himself. I hope he listens and accepts my advice," Chavez said.
