Judah Likely Back in The Fall, Not Against Peterson
By Mike Coppinger
Zab Judah is targeting a fall return, likely September or October, with a fight against a top junior welterweight the goal.
The former undisputed welterweight champion has been linked to possible bouts against Mike Alvarado and Lamont Peterson, but a source with knowledge of the talks for both fights says that Peterson doesn't have much interest in the matchup. Maxboxing's Steve Kim first reported that the proposed Judah-Peterson bout wasn't gaining traction.
Judah (42-8, 29 KOs) is coming off a loss to Danny Garcia in a spirited effort.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Alvarado a Top Rank fighter and Zab Judah is with Golden Boy?
Nope, Super Judah Promotions (usually Main Events or whomever the bigger promoter is for the event).Post a Comment - View More User Comments (12)
