Judah: "If There is No Marquez Fight, I Want Amir Khan!"

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com caught up with IBF junior welterweight champion Zab "Super" Judah to discuss the ending of the exclusivity period to negotiate a unification fight between junior welterweight champions Amir Khan and Tim Bradley. Judah has openly campaigned for a fight with lightweight king Juan Manuel Marquez since the Brooklynite stopped Kaizer Mabuza in March to capture the IBF strap.

Judah hopes that the allure of a shot at a championship in a 4th weight class will convince Marquez to agree to the fight but he knows that Marquez is holding out to see if he can land a third fight with pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao.

Judah revealed to BoxingScene that if he is unsuccessful in landing the Marquez fight that he would love to face WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan in a unification bout.  The British champion and WBO/WBC junior welterweight champion Tim Bradley failed to come to an agreement to face each other in July so now Khan's promoter Golden Boy is exploring other fight possibilities.

"If Bradley and Khan sign up to fight each other then good luck to both of them and I will look to face the winner.  I need to stay busy and I want to get big fights.  If Marquez gets Pacquiao then hopefully I can get Amir Khan.  I am sure that the fans would like that fight."
