Juanma Says Divorce Will Not Affect Salido Training

By Jhonny Gonzalez

Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez, the featherweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), says there is no reason to worry about his training for the April 16 title defense against Orlando Salido. It's been made public in the Puerto Rican press that Juanma and his wife, Barbara De Jesus, have agreed to a divorce. Lopez and De Jesus were married in July 2010 after a 10-year relationship and they have several children.

"I'm one of the few in the world with the ability to separate my personal life from my professional life. I can assure you that I'm concentrating on my career and I'm working hard for my next fight," Lopez told program Dando Candela. "It's a difficult situation, but out of respect for both Barbara and my children, I really don't want to discuss it. I want our lawyers to take care of things and in the meantime I'll concentrate on my fight and my children."
This is bad for Salido... Juanma will have to give half of everything he has earned to his ex-wife, he'll take out his frustrations on Salido.
Not necessarily, from what I've heard she was messing around with somebody behind his…
