Juanma-Salido Rematch on 10/1 or 10/15 in Puerto Rico

By Jhonny Gonzalez

Promoter Peter Rivera of Puerto Rico Best Boxing, who co-promotes Juan Manuel Lopez with Top Rank, says a rematch with Orlando Salido has two possible working dates - of October 1 and October 15 in Puerto Rico. Salido is already set to defend his WBO featherweight title in July, in Mexico, against Mike Oliver. Rivera says Top Rank Vice President Todd DuBoef is discussing dates with HBO and Showtime.

Salido knocked out Lopez in the eight round on April 16 at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon.

"I'm pretty sure they are going to fight in October. Todd DuBoef is holding discussions with the television networks, and we are waiting to see what dates are available," Rivera told Jose Gordian.
