On Tuesday, former two-division champion Juan Manuel Lopez (33-2, 30 KO's) resumed his sparring session for the June 15th showdown against Mikey Garcia (31-0, 26 KO's), the WBO's featherweight king. Juanma had stayed away from sparring for a bit after suffering an injury to his left cheekbone after an alleged fall during a track run. Juanma went six rounds with bantamweight Jose Nieves (22-3-2, 11 KO's) and two with undefeated featherweight Braulio Santos (10-0, 9 KO's). According to reports, Lopez, tomorrow, will hold a sparring session with both men at the Jose "Cheo" Aponte Gym in Caguas.
