Former two-division world champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez will hold a press conference later today in Puerto Rico to discuss his March 10th TKO defeat to World Boxing Organization (WBO) featherweight champion Orlando Salido of Mexico, and the controversial comments that he made about referee Roberto Ramirez Sr.
The presser will take place at 1:00 pm at the Corporate Tetaro Sports Museum of Puerto Rico in Guaynabo. In addition to Lopez (31-2, 28 KOs), members of promotional firm PR Best Boxing will be present.
Juanma will also discuss his future, and his recent suspensions by the WBO and the Professional Boxing Commission of Puerto Rico. Both of those suspensions are connected to Juanma calling Ramirez "a gambler" during the televised post-fight interview that followed the Salido loss. The hearing with the Puerto Rico Commission takes place on March 26th.
