Juanma Looks To Bring in Alex Ariza For Mikey Garcia

Former two division world champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez (33-2, 30KOs), who struggled with weight in the past, is looking to retain strength and conditioning coach Alexa Ariza.

Ariza is known for his work with Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Juanma returns on June 15th in Dallas against WBO featherweight champion Mikey Garcia (31-0, 26KOs). A few months ago the Puerto Rican boxer admitted to having difficulties in making the featherweight limit.

"We spoke to him," said Lopez to Carlos Narvaez. "I'm waiting for Chavez to confirm his next fight [so Alex can] tell us if he is able to work with us. We are interested in his work."

Juanma's too lazy and not dedicated enough to go through the type of training that a Manny Pacquiao does anyway. He'd have enough of it after one day. Mikey is just too good a boxer for him anyway. He KOs…

I think Mikey has enough pop and skill to be able to possibly stop Juanma. I just want to see if Juanma can hurt Mikey in this fight. Mikey seems durable thus far.

Juanma's going for the "special shakes" of Ariza. He's trying to get in Pacquiao form after getting owned by Salido.
