By Rey Colon

The Boxing Commission of Puerto Rico will hold their annual awards on March 1 at Nilmarie Santini, located at the headquarters of the Department of Recreation and Sport in Santurce, and the event will be dedicated to the former three division world champion and Felix 'Tito' Trinidad.

Juan Manuel Lopez, the undefeated WBO featherweight champion, will receive the award for "Boxer of The Year" for the third consecutive year.

Wilfredo 'Papito' Vazquez, the undefeated WBO champion at 122 pounds, will get the Sixto Escobar Cup, while Miguel Cotto, the current champion of the WBA at junior middleweight, will also receive his award in this category.

McJoe Arroyo, who finished with a record of 6-0 in his first year as a professional, is the favorite for the "Rookie of the Year" award.
