Former two time world champion Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez will return to the ring on April 20 at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico, in a show headlined by the world title clash between Cristian Mijares and Victor Terrazas, in a Promociones Zanfer presentation in association with Top Rank and PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP).

Juanma Lopez, a former World Boxing Organization (WBO) super bantamweight and featherweight champion, will have his fellow Puerto Rican contenders McWilliams and McJoe Arroyo also in action facing former Mexican world champions on the show.

“We want to keep Juanma in action and now we are going to put him in this show in Mexico, hoping for a win to have him fight again in the summer in a big fight”, Peter Rivera, PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) Vice-President, said. “Also we have there, in Mexico, the Arroyo twins in important fights against former world champions and on their way to become world champions this year”.

On this card, Juanma Lopez (32-2, 29 KOs) will face Brazilian William Prado (20-3-1, 13 KOs), in a fight scheduled for 10 rounds in a 128 pounds limit. Lopez come off a ninth round TKO victory over Brazilian Aldimar Silva Santos on February 2, in Puerto Rico.

“As we had a fight in February, we have keep training, we are woriking in some things and adjustments to look better in this fight in Mexico. Also, we are training with my mind on the altitude there in Mexico”, Lopez said. “About Prado, I just know that he is a fighter with a good record who has never been knocked out”.

Meanwhile, McJoe Arroyo (12-0, 7 KOs), the IBF Latino super flyweight champion, will fight versus former IBF superflyweight champion Rodrigo “Gatito” Guerrero (18-4-1, 12 KOs) in an IBF eliminatory fight, scheduled to 10 rounds. Actually, McJoe Arroyo is the #8 WBO and #14 IBF ranked in the superflyweights, while Guerrero is ranked #4 in the IBF.

Then, McWilliams Arroyo (14-1, 12 KOs) will face veteran and former WBO flyweight champion Julio Cesar “Pingo” Miranda (37-8-1, 29 KOs) in a flyweight bout scheduled to 10 rounds. McWilliams Arroyo is actually ranked #6 by the WBO and #13 by the IBF in the flyweight division.

Headlining this show, former world champion Cristian Mijares (47-6-2, 22 KOs) will fight against Victor Terrazas (36-2-1, 21 KOs) for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) superbantamweight title.
