Juan Manuel Lopez Being Investigated For Assault

By Miguel Rivera

According to officials in Puerto Rico, 25-year-old Angel Matta is alleging that former two-division world champion Juan Manuel Lopez, and another indivdual, beat him up in a cell phone store located in Caguas. Lopez will be meeting with authorities to get interviewed. Based on the details of the interview, the local district attorney will determine if changes need be filed.

Meanwhile, Lopez would not comment for legal reasons.

"I can not comment based on the advice of my attorney. Later on, everything will come out and the truth will be known," Juanma said.
