Juan Manuel Lopez To Add Trainer Freddie Trinidad

Former champion Juan Manuel Lopez (31-2, 28KOs) is making a few changes to his team. After suffering two knockout defeats in his last three ring appearances, Lopez is going to hire Puerto Rican trainer Freddie Trinidad. Lopez wants Trinidad to help fix his defensive defects.

The Puerto Rican, boxer, who plans to return in the near future, was knocked out twice by WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido. After the March loss to Salido, Juanma expressed his concern with taking so many punches in the fight.

Footwork, he has none. He got used to KOing slow movers, but high class boxers are his weakness. At one time, dancing (man+woman+music) was in style and guys learned movement as a form of flirtation. The better you danced, the…

Who cares. Juanma is his own worse enemy. Every decision this dude makes are flawed beyond belief. Good luck with that.
