Juan Francisco Estrada Faces Joebert Alvarez on 4/19

By Miguel Rivera

Hermosillo, Sonora - WBA/WBO flyweight champion Juan Francisco "El Gallo" Estrada will reappear on April 19 against Filipino Joebert "Little Pacman" Alvarez in a fight scheduled for twelve rounds. The fight was finalized earlier today. Estrada (25-2, 18 KOs ) will make his second defense of his title, with Alvarez bringing an undefeated record of 13-0, with 6 KOs . Estrada will train with Alfredo Caballero at the Caballero Boxing Club.

"I am very happy to return to the ring. I've been training hard since the beginning of the year, and to already have a date motivates me to throw even harder and to put more into my workouts. I had been offered a ten round fight, but I wanted to defend my title, so I decided with my team and promoter Latin Sports to get a strong opponent, because I always want to fight the best," Estrada said.
