Leija Battah Promotions has announced that former lightweight king Juan Diaz (35-4, 17KOs), 29-years-old, will be making his return to the ring on April 13th in Corpus Christi, Texas. The card will be co-promoted by Golden Boy Promotions. Diaz has not fought since suffering a twelve round decision loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in July of 2010.

Did he drop out of Dartmouth? I mean, I know the prospects for lawyers over the next decade are terrible, but damn, son. It's like Mannie Phresh trying to come back to the rap game or something. He was cool, but we ain't got no place for the dude now.

I think he should've retired after being out-Juaned by Marquez for the first time. He may have been competitive but he took a hell of a beating.
