Joshua Clottey Inks With Star Boxing, Eyes Fall Return

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com has been advised that former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey (36-4, 22KOs) is back in New York and is working with Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing.  The Ghanan fighter is looking to return  to the ring in the month of September.

Clottey has been inactive since his 2nd round knockout victory over Calvin Green in November 2011. Prior to that fight he had been inactive since his unanimous decision loss to Manny Pacquiao in March, 2010.  He is looking to campaign in the junior middleweight division after spending most of his career at 147 pounds.
Clottey vs Cotto one of my fav. fights...( clottey shuda won)
Clottey only has himself to blame for not winning that fight. He had it bag but let himself get outworked by Cotto late in the fight.

Clottey is good, but some of you are making him out to be a monster... His best wins are vs judah and corrales he is a tough lad, but saying he is going to clean out 154 is crazy talk
clottey's a much better fighter than overhyped canelo or anyone at 154. clottey will be linear champ at 154 by the end of 2014.
He will be avoided like the plague again, remember when Shane Mosley was offered to fight…
