Joshua Clottey Injured, Withdraws From Green Fight

By Rick Reeno

BoxingScene.com was advised that former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey (35-4, 20KOs) has withdrawn from this coming Saturday's fight against Calvin Green on the Miguel Cotto-Ricardo Mayorga undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Clottey suffered injuries to his wrist and ankle after falling during a training run. Clottey, age 33, would have been making his first ring appearance since the decision loss to Manny Pacquiao from last March.

Watching Clottey fight is like watching paint dry.

I can't still get over his performance or lack of therefore against Pacman! If you don't have the fire in the belly.... then give way to others that do. Clottey has skills.... it just seems he doesn't have the fire.
