Manchester, England - In a battle of undefeated fighters, Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) won a twelve round majority decision over Hughie Fury (20-1, 10 KOs) to retain the WBO heavyweight championship. The scores were 114-114 for the draw, 118-110, 118-110 for Parker.

The fight started right away with Fury right on his bike to create movement and shoot the jab. Parker was really charging forward to cut off the ring and was looking to do damage with power shots. Fury would hold Parker when he came in close.

Fury continued to box in the second, walking around the ring and shooting that jab to keep Parker at bay. Parker was shooting a jab to Fury chest, hoping to slow the movement down.  Much of Parker's punches were missing their mark, with Fury continuing to move and jab in the third.

There was a clash of heads in the fourth, which opened up a small cut on Fury. Parker was throwing a lot of wild punches there were missing with Fury continuing to move and box. Fury caught Parker with a uppercut on the inside with an uppercut that the champion walked through.

Parker was warned in the fifth for coming in with his head. He was having trouble getting to the target, as Fury was always on the move. Parker was starting to close the gap in terms of the distance. He was applying more pressure and starting to catch Fury with a few shot, but none of them were flush as Fury rolled with them.

The sixth was close, with Fury boxing well in the first half and Parker pressing the action in the second half.  Parker was getting closer in the seventh but not really letting his hands go. Parker was pressing hard and clipped Fury with a good swinging hook.  Parker continued to dig to the body to slow down Fury, who still looked strong on his legs.

Parker was stepping things up and really swinging in the eight, looking to do more damage as Fury was on his feet and working the jab. The action was very close, with Parker pushing the pace of the contest and coming forward. At the start of the ninth, Parker was able to put a few punches together on Fury and had him on the rung. Fury would soon go back to the jab and had Parker getting frustrated and he started to rough the challenger up on the inside.

A much better tenth round for Fury, who was boxing and landing some punches in spots. Parker was still very strong, pushing forward and throwing hard shots but unable to land many of them. A close eleventh with Parker pushing the pace and doing more the better work. Fury was jabbing, but not doing much more than that.

Fury started off the twelfth with a big right hand, but Parker came right back with a hard counter. Parker was charging forward and landing the bigger punches.
