Mexico's José "El Torito" Rodriguez (28-0, 17KOs) won a close twelve round split decision over Nethra Sasiprapa (27-2, 13KOs) of Thailand to pick up the WBA's interim-junior flyweight championship at the Gimnasio German Evers in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. The scores were 114-112 and 113-111 for Rodriguez, with the third judge scoring it for Sasiprapa with a card of 114-111.
