Jose Ramirez Humbled By Invite to ESPY Award Party

By Luis Sandoval

2012 US Olympian and Top Rank fighter Jose Ramirez is coming off his fourth career victory as he has remained been busy ever since turning professional late last year. Aside from his decorated amateur career, Ramirez is also known for being one of the few boxers with multiple endorsements and sponsorships which is credited to his hard working team.

Jose received an exclusive invitation and will be attending the ESPY’s award party which will be taking place at the famous Playboy Mansion for next week’s start studded activities. Ramirez who is involved with a number of charities will also participate in an ESPY’s red carpet event benefitting the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation.

"It’s an honor to get invites to such exclusive events and help charity at the same time. I’m very humbled by what’s taking place" said Ramirez.

Ramirez has had a high profile even before turning professional as his agent Rick Mirigian was able to land him lucrative sponsorships with major companies while Jose was still an amateur. Jose attending an event like this at the Playboy Mansion is exactly what Mirigian wants for his young rising star.

"Ramirez is becoming a force not just in the ring but outside of it. This is an amazing honor for him and it shows his mainstream appeal and marketability at such an early stage in his career. A fighter in this day and age must have appeal and branding outside the ring and Ramirez clearly is establishing that” Mirigian would tell BoxingScene.

Jose Ramirez will be returning to the ring August 17th as he will be the co-feature event of “Solo Boxeo Tecate” live on Unimas from Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, TX.

I've been following him since the Olympics. The guy is fast and dangerous. Won't be surprised when he gets big fights in the future.
