Lightweight Jose Pedraza (1-0, 1KOs), who had an auspicious professional debut on Friday in Ponce, on the card called 'Night of Champions,' greatly impressed his promoters Lou DiBella, Gary Shaw and Javier Bustillo. He will return on March 29 in New York, and it will mark his first international boxing match with pay.
Pedraza, a multiple international medalist, was far superior to his opponent Felix Manuel Rivera, who sent down to the mat in the very first round when the referee stopped the fight at 1:24. Because of his quick victory, his promoters decided to place him on a card in New York and his opponent will be revealed in the next few weeks.
