The professional debut of lightweight José Pedraza is likely going to take place on a February 18 card being put together by Universal Promotions in Ponce. Undefeated flyweight Cesar Seda is scheduled to headline the show. According to reports, Pedraza, a multiple world medalist at Pan American and Central American games, is in excellent physical condition as he was preparing to compete in the National Championships of the Puerto Rico Amateur Boxing Federation.

Pedraza signed a promotional deal with contract partners Gary Shaw, Lou DiBella and Javier Bustillo. Sources say that Pedraza received a signing bonus of $100,000.
