Jorge Paez Vows Victory, Vivian Harris Eyes Knockout

The fans in Monterrey are expecting a tough battle on Saturday, when Jorge "Maromerito" Páez (37-4-1, 22 KOs) takes on former champion Vivian "Vicious" Harris (31-9-2, 19 KOs) at the Arena Monterrey, where Zanfer Promotions will stage a TV Azteca televised card. Also on the card, Undefeated WBO champion Merlito Sabillo will defend his title for the third time against local hero Francisco Rodriguez.

"I've arrived at 100 percent physically and mentally. I had one of the best camps of my career. The fight was scheduled against Erik Morales, but he got hurt. I requested a tough opponent with experience and my request was granted. My promoter selected Vivian Harris, a fighter who is indeed very tough, difficult, who was already a world champion and is coming in with a win streak. It will be a good test, but I will get the victory. The only thing I can guarantee is that it will be a great fight for the public of Monterrey and I will die on the line to get the win," said Paez Jr..

Meanwhile, Vivian Harris said he is ready for a war.

"I've seen him fight and Paez is strong, brave, but does not have the resources that I have. I've faced the much better opponents and I think I'll even win by knockout," noted Harris.
