| Jorge Paez Has No Interest in an Omar Chavez Rematch
By Miguel Rivera A few weeks ago at Tuxtla Gutierrez, welterweight contender Jorge 'Maromerito' Paez won a ten round majority decision over previously undefeated Omar 'Businessman' Chavez in the main event of a special card called - 'Legacy of Legends'. Chαvez (27-1-1, 20 KOs) and Paez Jr. (30-4-1, 18 KOs) had a thrilling battle, but the two boxers are not on the same page as it relates to a rematch. Omar, the son of legendary Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, is pushing for a rematch to avenge his first career defeat, but Paez has other plans in mind. Paez wants to face opponents who are going to assist his goal of obtaining a higher ranking for a title shot opportunity. Tags: Jorge Paez Jr. , Omar Chavez , Chavez-Paez , Chavez vs Paez |

Paez has nothing to win in a rematch with Omar. If the fight would have been a close decision then it would be good for him to have a rematch, however he completely dominated Omar and won at least 8 rounds, so Paez should try to fight better boxers and try to get up in the rankings. |

Paez looked great in there. If he can keep up the motivation he can make some fun fights. |
