Tuxtla Gutierrez - In a very electrifying atmosphere at the Arena Jorge Cuesy of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas - Jorge 'Maromerito' Paez won a ten round majority decision over previously undefeated Omar 'Businessman' Chavez in the welterweight main event of a special card called - 'Legacy of Legends'.

Chávez (27-1-1, 20 KOs) and Paez Jr. (30-4-1, 18 KOs) had a thrilling battle in a fight where Chavez tried to get a knockout but couldn't secure one. Paez controlled the early action with his boxing ability and managed to avoid the big punches of an incoming Chavez.

In the co-feature, former WBO flyweight world champion Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda won a ten round decision over Cecilio "Boga" Santos.

Maromerito is a good fighter,he has fought better oppositon than the chavez brothers. I have followed him from his start, he use to brawl a lot earlier in his career and got beat because of it. Last night he outboxed Omar and used his experie.ce. Im glad he won!!!
