Firepower is what Miguel Cotto Promotions and H2 Entertainment will present on Friday, June 7th with "PR STRIKING FORCE" on Showtime from the luxurious Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York. The rising stars and power punchers Jorge "Destroyer" Melendez (26-2-1, 25KO's) and undefeated Jonathan "Pitbull" Vidal (17-0, 9KO's) will headline the main events. These great fighters will have the chance to shine and put into practice their skills against top-notch opponents in yet two more classics of the Puerto Rico vs. Mexico famed rivalry.

 The WBO Super welterweight latino champion, Jorge "Destroyer" Melendez, had a great performance when he demolished Ryan Davis in four rounds back in March 2nd in Las Vegas. Now he faces Mexican puncher Luis Grajeda (14-1, 10KO's) in a 10-round bout main event. Meanwhile, unbeaten bantamweight Jonathan "Pitbull" Vidal also will face undefeated Mexican Mario Muñoz (13-0, 10KO's) in an eight round fight co-main event. "I feel honored to be chosen for this main event and to represent Puerto Rico and the new generation of the Puerto Rican fighters. I am very focused, and ready. We had a very intense training camp because I want to have a big victory over Grajeda.  I have a strong commitment to my fans", stated Melendez. On his part, Vidal stated: "We're excited, we've been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. Was given when least expected and we accepted the challenge. Now we are preparing to capture the attention of fans and see in me a good contender for a world title".

The fans can’t miss Showtime on the evening of June 7th", stated the four-time world champion and promoter Miguel Cotto. "The weekend of June 7th will have many celebrations in New York.  On Friday as we have the show at the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center; on Saturday is the induction ceremony for the Boxing Hall Of Fame in Canastota; and on Sunday is the great Puerto Rican day parade!  This will be a boxing weekend all over New York", stated promoter and entrepreneur Héctor Soto. Also in action the undefeated hard hitting sensation Jeffrey "Dynamite" Fontanez (11-0, 9 Ko's) will clash in a 6 round fight against the Mexican veteran Alejandro "Soma" Rodriguez (19-10, 11KO's).
