Melendez had no problems scoring the weight of 156 pounds, while his opponent Ryan Davis (24-9-3, 9KO's) topped the scale at 158 pounds.
"I feel mentally and physically good, i'm excited, ready to give a great show to all my people of Puerto Rico," expressed Melendez who will be defending his super welterweight WBO Latino championship.
"There are very good opportunities popping into my life. I'm very grateful to my promoter Miguel Cotto and my handlers. Showtime said nice things to us. I am very well motivated," express Melendez.
