Earlier today Universal Promotions sent out a press release announcing the signing of flyweight contender Jonathan "Bomba" Gonzalez (13-1-1) who will return to the ring on August 30th in Puerto Rico.

The 23-year-old fighter of Puerto Rican descent said that he is excited to be returning to action and feels that Universal Promotions is the perfect company to guide him to a world title.

"I'm very happy that I will be fighting again on August 30th. I saw the job that Universal is doing with (undefeated IBO super featherweight champion) Jose Pedraza and I think they will do the same with me. Within a year or two I will be fighting for a world tile," Gonzalez told Boxingscene.com.
