Jonathan "Mantequilla" Gonzalez (15-0-1; 13KO's) marked and impressive 152.75 pounds at the scale yesterday in Miami, Florida.  He appeared in fantastic shape for his ESPN super welterweight fight tonight against Philadelphia's Derek Ennis (23-3-1; 13KO's).

"I spent 2 months in camp without interruptions or distractions.  What happened to me in September for the Dzinziruk fight is a thing of the past", Mantequilla stated.  "I am hungry and will make Puerto Rico proud.  I promise", Mantequilla concluded.

Meanwhile, his agent Gaby Peñagarícano, stated: Jonathan wants to send a message that he is back to the game at 100% ready.  You will see tonight that he is a strong force at the super welterweights and one of the most important prospects from Puerto Rico.  He had a true professional boxing camp in Florida and it will show".

Gonzalez v. Ennis is the co-main event on ESPN 2 Friday Night Fights, tonight at the Magic City Casino in Miami, Florida.  The main event is Rances Barthelemy vs. Arash Usmanee at the super featherweights.  Promoters of the event are Warriors Boxing, in association with Bad Dog Productions.
