John Molina: Brandon Rios Won't Sign The Contract

by David "Los Gatos" Rosenberg

Lightweight contender John Molina Jr. (23-1, 19KOs) is complaining that WBA champion Brandon Rios (28-0-1, 21KOs) is dragging his feet on signing a contract for a proposed Showtime televised showdown on December 10th. Molina states that he signed his end of the contract, but Rios has yet to ink his portion to seal the deal.

"Come on Brandon Rios, I signed my end of the contract. Step up, be the champ and make it happen," Molina said.

While the date in December is being offered by Showtime, Rios is reportedly weighing his options. Rios is also in position for a Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez undercard spot, and that card is happening on November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
