| Joel Casamayor's Boxing License Revoked, Fine Issued

By Rick Reeno Las Vegas, Nevada - The Nevada State Athletic Commission has revoked the boxing license of former champion Joel Casamayor (38-6-1, 22KOs) and fined him $10,000. Casamayor no-showed a scheduled hearing on Wednesday. The boxer tested positive for marijuana in the aftermath of his eight round TKO loss to WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley from last November at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Wrong. It means he can't fight in Nevada. The major sanctioning bodies will back the NSAC (i.e. CSAC & NYSAC) but other states with small commissions can and wil... |

Should have revoked his license on a permanent basis rather than just for a year.It's for a minor offense,but the sport is better off without stinkers like Joel Casamayor. |

some ppl have no fukking shame. fighters should be allowed to blaze all they want, it doesnt give them any advantage over their oponents and its the lightest drug out there so it should be legal for everyone.
to give him the same punishment as margarito just shows they have no common sense wha... |
