| Joel Casamayor Hopes To Return To Action Soon
By Jhonny Gonzalez Joel "Cepillo''Casamayor is hoping to get in the ring very soon. The boxer had been scheduled to face Jorge Teron in an ESPN televised fight on July 29th in Las Vegas, but the Cuban boxer was involved in a car accident which caused injuries to his ribs and back. The doctor advised Casamayor to stay away from training for at least a month and he withdrew form the fight. Casamayor is waiting for the doctors to give him approval to resume training. "I had trained very hard for that fight and now I'm condemned to wait for the doctor's authorization to resume training. The accident ... these things happen in life. We have to go on. I have often been left for dead, but I revive myself, move forward and win. This is another fight where I will succeed," Casamayor told George Ebro. Tags: Joel Casamayor |
Casamayor should retire from fighting and instead just train boxers coming from Cuba to fight as a pro.:boxing:
Agreed. "El Cepillo's" best days are far behind him. All he can do now is tarnish his record and (further?) damage his health. |
