BoxingScene.com recently spoke to middleweight contender J'Leon Love (15-0) who is finishing up his 6 month suspension for taking a banned diuretic. Love is signed to Mayweather Promotions and gave us a quick breakdown of Saturday's mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
"The loser will be Canelo. The way he loses is what we want to find out. I think Floyd is just too intelligent. He will make it a mismatch. The dude is a beast. He knows that kid is young and hungry so he really turned it up in training. He set the bar high for Canelo. Floyd is going to put on a hell of a performance.
"Even (when Floyd takes) a year off or two years off he comes back sharp. When you think he is partying or in the clubs the man is in the gym working even if he isn't sparring. The dude is a workaholic. That is what he does. Since he came back so soon that has just upped his game. He came back sharp. He came back blazing," Love stated.
As for his own career, the undefeated Love said that he is aiming to comeback in November. He said that he wasn't sure if he would jump back into another big fight or take a tune up but that either way he would be ready to go.
"I believe I will be back in November. We still don't have a confirmed date but I have been in the gym working. I have been sparring with half of the guys in here (Mayweather Boxing Club) getting them ready for their fights. I can jump back into a big fight or just get back out there and get in a fight to get back in a groove. That is up to my team to decide," Love told BoxingScene.com.
