The date of a July 7th, at a venue to be determined in Mexico, is being mentioned for the possible fight between WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (52-7, 45KOs) and the CABOFE champ Salvador Sanchez II (30-4-3, 18KOs). Gonzalez sat ringside on Saturday in Polanco and watched Sanchez secure an eight round TKO victory over Juan Jose Beltran. The World Boxing Council has already noted their position of agreeing to sanction the fight.
