Jhonny Gonzalez-Jackson Asiku in Play For September 15

By Jhonny Gonzalez

A big event is being put together by Promociones del Pueblo for the date of September 15 at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. The card will celebrate Mexican Independence Day. The main event will feature a featherweight clash between Jhonny Gonzalez (45-7, 39KOs) and Jackson Asiku (26-3, 14KOs). The vacant IBO featherweight title might be at stake that night.

Also on the card will be Juan Carlos Burgos, Jesus "El Matador" Chavez, and possibly Oscar "Ceviche" Ibarra, the brand new silver world champion of the WBC, but it depends if he is granted a work visa.

"It will be a great night for all Mexicans," said Reginald Küchle director of Promociones del Pueblo.

WAR JHONNY!!! Gonzalez pitches a shut-out, maybe stopping Asiku mid-late (rd 7-9) As with all Jhonny opponents ( :( ) Asiku has a punchers chance, but Gonzalez won't lose.........not against Asiku
