Jhonny Gonzalez Faces Tomas on Williams-Lara Bill

World Boxing Council featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez of Mexico has been confirmed to face Tomás "El Norteño" Villa of Texas on July 9 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, in what will be a co-promotion by People's Promotions and Goossen Tutor Promotions. The main event will feature a junior middleweight bout between Paul Williams and Cuba's Erislandy Lara. In addition, Akifumi Shimoda of Japan will defend the WBA super bantamweight title against California's Rico Ramos. And heavyweight Chris Arreola will face Nigerian Friday Ahunanya.
