Jesus "Negrito" Silvestre (26-3, 19KOs) showed his destructive force on Saturday night at the Palenque de la Feria in Tepic, Mexico.
Hundreds of fans celebrated the first defense of Negrito, who retained the interim-WBA strawweight title with fourth round technical knockout of previously undefeated Takuya Mitamura (12-1, 2KOs) of Japan.
Negrito dished out punishment with both hands. In the third round, a clash of heads opened up a cut above the left eye of Silvestre. In the fourth round Mitamura was taking a lot of punishment before the referee jumped in to wave off the contest.
