Defending WBA world featherweight champion Jesus Cuellar (28-1, 21 KOs), of Argentina, weighed in at 124 pounds, two full pounds below the limit for his title defense against Abner Mares (29-2-1, 15 KOs), of Downey, California. Mares weighed in exactly at the featherweight limit of 126 pounds.

Before Cuellar and Mares made weight for their “Showtime Championship Boxing” main event, IBF junior middleweight champion Jermall Charlo (24-0, 18 KOs) and mandatory challenger Julian Williams (22-0-1, 14 KOs, 1 NC) also weighed in at or below the contracted weight for their scheduled 12-rounder.

Houston’s Charlo weighed 153.4 pounds. Philadelphia’s Williams weighed 154.

The Cuellar-Mares and Charlo-Williams fights will be part of a tripleheader Showtime will televise at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

The telecast will start with a replay of the heavyweight championship bout between IBF title-holder Anthony Joshua (17-0, 17 KOs), of Watford, England, and Eric Molina (25-3, 19 KOs), of Weslaco, Texas. Earlier Saturday, Showtime will air the Joshua-Molina fight, scheduled for 12 rounds, live from Manchester, England, at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT.
