Jessie Vargas To Face Aron Martinez on September 13

Welterweight contender Jessie Vargas (19-0, 9KOs), making his Top Rank debut, takes on the capable Aron Martinez (18-1-1, 4KOs) on September 13th at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. The fight will headline a special edition of Thursday Night Fights on ESPN.

Puerto Rican lightweight Luis Cruz (20-1, 16KOs) will open up the televised portion show.

I'd say Jessie is way above average. An average fighter wouldnt get past Josesito Lopez like Vargas did.
