Jesse Hart Added to 10/4 Top Rank Card in Atlantic City

Super-middleweight prospect Jesse Hart will have his fourth fight of the year when he appears on the Oct. 4 card at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino promoted by Top Rank.

The card features junior-middleweight prospect Glen Tapia in the headline bout against Donatas Bondorvas, and the undercard includes junior-welterweight prospect Mike “Yes Indeed” Reed.

Hart’s opponent will be Robert Jose Acevedo, according to the Top Rank website. Acevedo, 27, of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, is 8-2 with 5 KOs. Those two defeats came via decision to Paul Littleton in March 2013 and Lee Campbell in April 2014. In-between those bouts came a first-round stoppage win this past January over the previously undefeated Ilshat “The Sheriff” Khusnulgatin.

Hart, 25, of Philadelphia, is 14-0 with 11 KOs. So far in 2014 he has taken a six-round decision over Derrick Findley, won an eight-round decision against Samuel Clarkson, and scored a sixth-round technical knockout over Shujaa El Amin.
