It's time for the welterweight division to feeling Horny.

So suggested the crowd on hand Friday evening at Sleeman Sports Complex in Chandler, Australia, with chants of "Horny" filling the venue as local favorite Jeff Horn turned in his finest performance to date. The unbeaten welterweight contender inched closer to a title shot after becoming the first to stop Rico Mueller, grinding out a 9th round stoppage of the iron-chinned veteran from Germany.

With the win, Horn (15-0-1, 10KOs) moves into the number-two position in the International Boxing Federation (IBF) ratings. The move comes right on time, as it's very possible that reigning titlist Kell Brook could be vacating the strap in favor of a move to the super welterweight division.

Should such a development take place. Horn would wind up facing red-hot rising star Errol Spence, the current mandatory challenger in what would double as a vacant title fight and matchup of 2012 Olympians - Horn represented his native Australia, while Spence served as the last man standing for the United States male boxing team during the 2012 London Games.
